Located in the Abbey-School of Sorèze, the museum houses the tapestry collection of the Abbey of En Calcat, which includes 55 tapestries created by Dom Robert and 33 pieces created by other artists.
The architectural project involved the restoration and consolidation of the part of the Abbey that had been abandoned until 2012 and was intended to house the Museum. The building was recognized as a cultural asset and a World Heritage Site. The conservation, restoration, consolidation, and exhibition project was conducted respecting the ethical principles that govern the safeguarding of historical monuments, which aided in directing and guiding the design choices.
