Une école pour les enfants entre 0 et 3 ans. Il s'agit d'une école à trois sections pour une totalité de 90 élèves. Le projet a une connotation durable.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION: A NURSERY SCHOOL OF 3CLASSROOMS
There could be no better opportunity to test the implications of the relation between environmental culture and architectural design culture than the building of this nursery school for children between the ages of zero and three. After all children spend many hours a day in a school environment for the eight most formative years in their development. This is the environment where minds, characters and tastes of our children are shaped , a space which by its very nature can and must educate children so that they can develop crucial environmental culture I have just mentioned. The project is a nursery school composed of 3 classrooms for 60 children from 0 to three years old. The building will be constructed nearby the present school for children from 3 to 5 years old. The one floor building is oriented north -west, in this way the two school are faced end the garden between them will be used by pupils; besides the preferred orientation on the South-est- side will be occupied by a residential building of 5 floors. On the North-west side there is an iron porch, with brise soleil to reduce sun gains during afternoon.
The idea to have one floor building is connected to the desire to avoid the change of levels, and to give children the possibility to move without obstacles, besides the use of colours inside (each classroom has a different floor colour) will help children in orientation
inside the building. Each classroom has a direct access from outside, and its own services inside (toilets and rest-room), the big size of classrooms let to have cross ventilation. The school has a radiant heating system, photovoltaic panels on the roof, and a recycling system for rainwater.
