TuppettuCase

Souvenirs of a forgotten past, memories of grandparents and cousins who were playing in the yard in challenging "tuppettu"... born so TuppettuCase!
The same design of the past but with absolutely innovative utility for simultaneous use.
This underline the contrast between the past and the present society in which children don’t play with it anymore, a society in wich social network, music and so on are the main windows with the external world.
The idea was born from the memory and then the Sicilian tradition of the games of grandparents, the tuppeturu: it was a small wooden spinning top with a wire that was rolled on itself with a bit of iron which was in balance. When he threw revolved on itself.
Today is proposed as a small container, with a lid that can be opened: inside it is assumed a housing for the winding of the earphones and a small hole in which is it possible to introduce the jack that remember, with its tip, that of tuppetu.
TuppettuCase shows its spent "form" and the "tool" of communication evolved: if before, in a time of sharing playful and aggregative, this object was used in an open space, today holds the same function in response to the current needs of entertainment.
Technology, is the greatest common denominator present in the lives of all of us: measures from the point of view healthy lead to protection from electromagnetic waves harmful for our body (unleashed by different objects of the last generation). The earphones are now available to everyone, but not everyone knows where to store them. Thus was born TuppettuCase, a holding objects in a target general and a headphone port for all those who are technologically and ethically "advanced": a place in the functional and fun which store and wrap, protecting the cable, the headphones.
The souvenir TuppettuCase can be printed in 3D with filament wood effect or colored.
The prototype has been produced with the 3D printer family SLA to obtain a high accuracy even in the smallest objects.
The TuppettuCase, once used can complete its life cycle in the service of other functions: design at an early stage a "second life" to avoid being trashed when the internal parts are destroyed by wear. Extend the life cycle of our TuppettuCase, thus avoiding to throw it away, recognizing in this little object other functions which may be the decorative (eg. as a Christmas decoration, also allowed it from the head of a bow in which pass the thread to hold him up in the tree, or placeholder, ...) or the functional daily (eg. purse, glove box, door jewelry).

The packaging for the marketing end, to hold and protect TuppettuCase, will be produced in cardboard shaped pyramid with a square base to bring to mind the idea of Etna ... a souvenir, a memory, useful.
A Sicily to take away.
