Entertainmenthaus St.Pauli

Entertainmenthaus St.Pauli

The six stories high „House of Entertainment St. Pauli“ is placed directly at the corner of the “Große Freiheit” and “Simon-von-Utrecht-Strasse” to simulate a boundary and give the necessary noise prevention for the residential use of the Pestalozzi-Quartier.
The translucent glass facade in the different red, pink and orange shades refers to the costume studio, as well as to the red light district in St.Pauli. The intention was to transport the creative process of music and costume design happening inside to the architecture on the outside. The heart of the facade is the “showcase” which gives open views to the 10 m high artistic stage.
