The seafaring elements of the traditional overseas-container and the large, white sail act as the guiding themes for the temporary cruise terminal.
The corporate identity of the terminal originates from a combination of the rough shell, built from existing container components, and the generous, cantilevered illuminated floating roof facing the city. A wide opening in the façade, “the window to the city”, directs the view of the arriving cruise ship passenger to the city-skyline and onto the most famous church of Hamburg, the Michel.
